The Riformatori government, also known as the Council of the Riformatori, in Siena took control after revolting against the Dodici in 1371. The Salimbeni family was largely in control of the Riformatori, which led to numerous criticisms against Catherine in the second half of the 1370s due to her interactions and with the Salmibeni family.1
