A member of Catherine’s followers among the Guelf party in Florence. No letters are directly written to Carlo, but a letter to his wife, Madonna Laudomia exists. In this letter Catherine preached that, “bear whatever God gives us, and for love of God to pardon those who offend us. The world wants just the opposite; it wants vengeance, and wants to live in hatred and hostility with others.”1
